高雄馬頭山廢棄物調查：駐村藝術家《山．水》成果展揭示土地變遷

駁二藝術家進駐計畫 Pier-2 Artist-in-Residence Program 《山．水》周代焌駁二藝術家進駐計畫成果展 Digging for Water, Digging for Truth —Tai-Chun Chou Residency Exhibition 一則關於高雄馬頭山非法傾倒廢棄物的新聞，成為這次駐村創作的起點。 駐村期間，我反覆往返位於高雄內門、田寮與旗山交界的馬頭山，透過田野調查、地方訪談與材料採集，試著理解這片長期被稱為「惡地」的山林。隨著一次次踏查及聆聽，我注意到土壤間零星散落的彩色斑點，它們會隨著水流沖刷再次浮現地表。相較於新聞事件本身，真正吸引我的是那些改變土地、也影響居民行動的痕跡，而遺留在土壤間的廢棄物，如何逐步改變地貌和影響人們看待土地的方式。 《山．水》將地方記憶、自然地景與人為痕跡串成一座介於自然與人工之間的地景。展場裡沒有標準答案，而是一連串關於身體勞動、土地環境與時間的提問，邀請觀眾沿著水留下的路徑，重新觀看這片土地，以及我們與它之間的關係。 研究協力 黃惠敏｜高雄市馬頭山自然人文協會 會長 孫敬閔｜國立屏東科技大學野生動物保育研究所 助理教授 This residency project began with a news report about the illegal dumping of industrial waste in  Matoushan, Kaohsiung. During the residency, I visited Matoushan several times. Through field research, local interviews, and material collection, I began to understand the story of this landscape, which was long described as “badlands.” Along my research, I noticed small spots of color scattered through the soil, traces that would reappear after being washed by rain. I found myself less concerned with the controversy reported in the news than with what happens after waste enters the soil—how it alters the land, shapes the actions of local residents, and gradually changes the way we see the landscape. Digging for Water, Digging for Truth brings together local memories, natural phenomenon, and human traces. Rather than offering answers, the project raises questions about labor, land, and time, inviting viewers to follow the paths left by water and reconsider our relationship with our homeland.
