改編自英國著名兒童文學作家羅德·達爾（Roald Dahl）的獲獎小說，並由丹尼·德維托（Danny DeVito）執導，劇本由尼古拉斯·卡贊（Nicholas Kazan）和羅賓·史薇寇德（Robin Swicord）共同創作，《小魔女-瑪蒂達》（Matilda）講述了一位聰明過人、熱愛學習、渴望上學的小女孩-瑪蒂達（瑪拉·威爾森飾）的故事。
故事聚焦於瑪蒂達如何在充滿輕視及冷漠的家庭，和恐怖的校長楚奇布爾（Pam Ferris 飾）的壓迫下，藉由知識與超能力，為自己、朋友以及善良的珍妮佛·哈妮老師爭取正義，改變自己與周遭人的命運。
這部經典家庭電影將於2025年在高美館草坡重返大銀幕，並以令人驚艷的高清畫質呈現。獲得奧斯卡提名的作曲家大衛·紐曼（David Newman）為LIVE版本重新編排，並由吳曜宇指揮率領高雄市交響樂團現場演奏，與完整電影畫面融合，為觀眾帶來全新的視覺與聽覺震撼體驗。
《小魔女-瑪蒂達》透過幽默與奇幻元素，傳遞勇敢面對不公、捍衛正義的主題，並深刻描繪了瑪蒂達與善良的哈妮老師（Embeth Davidtz 飾）之間溫暖的師生情誼。
